Firstly, welcome to Workbase Plus Ltd first ever Newsletter.  As a company Workbase feel it is extremely important to build professional relationships with clients, keeping them up to date with important news, legislation    changes, events and  how we as a company are continually developing to meet our clients expectations and needs. 

So who are we?  Workbase Plus Ltd are auto enrolment specialists with a wealth or knowledge and years of experience in the financial  world, covering the whole of Scotland and England.   Workbase Plus Ltd work closely with companies providing answers and solutions for all auto enrolment needs minimising unnecessary stress, time, and the risk of receiving potentially large fines. 

Workbase Plus Ltd  have recently facilitated many seminars for Business Gateway, Chamber of Commerce and more, which have been very well   attended.   Workbase Plus Ltd  have also been visiting companies on an  individual basis providing them with a short presentation explaining the auto  enrolment process and highlighting employers responsibilities. 

Tip of the month

Have you left enough time to implement Auto Enrolment. Recommended planning time is 12 - 14 months before your duties come into effect. Know your staging date!

Automatic Enrolment –who?

The Government has introduced auto enrolment to help more people save for their future. This means that employers will need to automatically enrol some workers into a workplace pension plan and give other workers the option to join.  

As an employer the first thing you need to know is your staging date.  You will then need to assess your workforce to determine whether they’re treated as a ‘worker’. This can also include contractors and/or agency workers.  There are three different categories of worker, determined by their age and how much they earn. Eligible jobholders – must be automatically enrolled into an auto enrolment scheme Non-eligible jobholders – have the right to opt in to an auto enrolment scheme Entitled workers – have the right to join a pension scheme.  Your employer duties will     depend on the types of worker you employ.  Auto Enrolment has 8 stages, with many duties , tasks and responsibilities under each of the stages.
